practise courtesy when travelling?

Goodmorning Singapore! Its 9.00 am and you are listening to channel [insert channel name here]. It is now time for our morning news!

You are in the MRT which is packed to the limit and you are hoping the person sitting right in front of you will get off at the next stop so you can sit. Simply because you have been having problems balancing yourself in the fast moving train. And specifically because the person standing next to you is leaning against the metal bar, which you could hold on to for support!

The campaign for practising courtesy while travelling has been around for quite some time now. Even inspite of such an obvious "cry" to be considerate you will see this quite often.

It is so absolutely irritating!!! The whole train is packed. People do not have space to stand. Everyone is in a hurry to get to work. They are really trying to stay out of each other's personal space as much as possible by keeping their balance. And there is one person who is so oblivious to all of this that he/she is happily leaning onto the only possible source of support and taking that one small ray of hope away from so many people!

Well I agree I made it a bit too dramatic above, but seriously people should be considerate about this. Its way too small a thing to mention but it builds up with time. Esp when you are reeeeally tired and you cant even have a support to hold onto while you stand, you'd think of putting this into your blog. Hoping one of those buggers will read this and hopefully change for the better...
